Ayodeji Adenuga, a.k.a Oluodo the lover boy, who allegedly killed a family of eight said he did so because he had invested on his fiancée who reportedly jilted him.
He told journalists in Akure yesterday that he “established Titi Sanumi,” his former girl friend only for her to jilt him after being persuaded by her sister not to marry him.
Adenuga, 45, who had been on the run for a week after setting the fiancee’s family house ablaze claimed he empowered her with N20,000 to start a small business.
”I established her financially and to my dismay she backed out of her promise to marry me after her sister poisoned her mind against our plan to marry each other.
“I reported the case at the Okitipupa Police Station and the non-challant attitude of the police, infuriated me more.
“We dated for a year, she was a pure water hawker and later got pregnant for me but terminated the pregnancy after seven months,” he narrated to curious journalists .
Adenuga described by the police as a notorious gangster admitted setting his fiancee’s room ablaze with five litres of petrol.
Also, he admitted killing his former wife because of N450,000 which the late woman refused to pay back from the proceeds of a vehicle he sold.
It started like a joke. She was busy cutting vegetables and the knife reportedly pierced the woman’s chest, he said.
Adenuga had last Tuesday set eight members of his estranged fiancee’s family ablaze in their one room apartment at Adetuwo street, Ighodigo, Okitipupa reports from Okitipupa said the charred remain of the family were buried yesterday amidst tears by sympathizers and relations.
