The Anglican Bishop of Akure Diocese, Most Rev’d Simeon Borokini has said that Nigeria needs a focused president that is ready to say the truth and face the consequences for the betterment of the country.
He disclosed this in his sermon delivered during the installation of new chiefs of Cathedral Church of Saint David Ijomu Akure, the State capital.
Borokini explained that as the country is approaching the 2023 general elections, it needs a faithful as a leader that will perform his responsibility as it is expected of him.
The cleric called on Christian politicians who are in charge of various sectors of the economy toallow the image of Christ reflects in the discharge of their responsibility.
According to him ” As we move towards election, Nigerians need a president that is ready to say the truth and face the consequences for the betterment of the nation.
What Nigerians need a faithful leader that will perform his responsibility as it is expected of him.
“Those of us that carry banner of Christ to every sector of economy should let Christ reflect in our responsibility.
“You should go out to say the truth and ready to face the consequences
because we need men and women who can say the truth with boldness.
