Ondo State Head of Service, Pastor Kayode Ogundele has attributed the success recorded so far in the area of security to the harmonious relationship between various security agencies operating in the state.
He made the assertion while playing host to the new State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Olayinka Olatundun in Akure yesterday.
Ogundele, who lauded the commitment of Governor Akeredolu to ensuring that lives and property of residents are secured, said the success story would not have been possible if not for the synergy between the state security outfit, Amotekun and other relevant sister security agencies such as the NSCDC, the Nigerian Police, the Nigerian Army, the DSS among others.
According to him, the security situation in the state has endeared the state to many investors and people from other neighbouring Niger Delta states to settle their families in Ondo State.
While appreciating particularly the cooperation of the NSCDC in the state, the Head of Service reiterated the continued logistic support of the state government for the security agencies.
In his words, ‘Let me emphasise the fact that Ondo State Government under the leadership of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has prioritised the issue of security of the citizens of Ondo State beyond any other thing and that is while on and on he’s been vocal about his passion to ensure that lives and properties are secured
‘One of the reasons Ondo State has appeared to be the first choice for investors and a lot of people working in all these Niger Delta states, who come to build and settle their families here is because they see Ondo State as a very peaceful state. A state they can leave their families while they are away for months and be very sure their mind can be at rest.’
Earlier in his comment, Ondo State NSCDC boss, Engr. Olatundun thanked the state government for the good gesture particularly for providing accommodations for the corps among other things.
He called for more support from the government in terms of intelligence, information and logistics
