A clerical officer with the Ondo State University of Science and Technology ( OSUSTECH ) Mrs. Adedeji Christiana,  has approached the Okitipupa Grade A Customary Court seeking the dissolved of the six years old marriage between her and her estranged husband, Mr Daniel Adedeji, on the grounds of neglect and failure to provide for the family’s financial needs.

The petitioner also wants the court to grant her parental right over the only child of the marriage .

She said she would love the child to be in her custody because of the love she has for him and also to enable her  take good care of him, since his father had failed in that aspect .

When the petitioner was put on oath by the court , she claimed that her estranged husband never bothered to know how the child’s school fees was being paid, including his feeding.

She informed the court of how she had been threatened by her husband’s girl friends on several occasions.

However, the respondent, Adedeji Daniel, denied all the allegations leveled against him by his wife .

In his defence, he told the court how he had made several attempts to reconcile with her with no avail.

He therefore expressed his readiness to give the child to his wife, if that would guarantee peace between them.

After oral evidences of both parties and an attempt by the court to ensure the husband and wife settle amicably, the President of the court, Mr Adedeji Adebisi fixed  22nd October, 2018 for further hearing.
