WTO reappoints Okonjo-Iweala as DG
The World Trade Organization has reappointed Nigeria’s Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala for a second term as the Director-General.
The decision was taken by the General Council of the World Trade Organisation.
Okonjo-Iweala, in a statement issued on Friday, expressed gratitude to the WTO’s 166 member nations for their continued trust and support.
Her new four-year tenure is set to commence on September 1, 2025.
