Yorland Records leaves with two nominations at 10th OSMA “Big 10” Awards in Akure

The 10th Ondo State Music Awards (OSMA), branded the “Big 10” was held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the Amazing Place Event Centre in Akure, Ondo State. The event celebrated a decade of recognizing musical talent and industry stakeholders across Ondo State.

Among the many names called for nominations, Yorland Records & Entertainment recieved two nods:

Achievement in Artist Management

Best Alternative Song for the track Ebute by Yorland Republic

Although Yorland Records did not walk away with a win in either category, the nominations themselves underscore a rising recognition of their contributions to Ondo State’s music ecosystem.

Yorland’s nomination in this category is a signal that their work behind the scenes, guiding artists, developing careers, coordinating promotion and logistics is being noticed. In this highly competitive field, the winner was ultimately awarded to another industry name. While Yorland didn’t take home the trophy, the recognition validates their dedication and effort.

In the Best Alternative Song race, Ebute represented Yorland’s musical edge, creativity, and willingness to explore non-mainstream soundscapes. The award went to a different nominee in that category, but being shortlisted at this level is a notable achievement in itself.

Being nominated in both a management category and a creative/song category reflects the dual strengths of Yorland Records as both a creative hub and a professional operation.

Yorland Records & Entertainment’s dual nominations at the 10th OSMA Awards, Big 10 demonstrate that the label is not only active in the creative space but also making inroads in the industry machinery. Even without a win, the acknowledgments prove the vision is being seen.
