‘Your role creates functional world’

Teachers role and continued efforts have led to a functional world due to their constant growth and tireless impartation of knowledge.
The Lawmaker representing Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Bamidele Salam, stated this while congratulating teachers all over the world on the occasion of the 2019 World Teachers’ Day.
Salam while eulogizing teachers said they need to appreciated and encouraged in every way possible and ensure that their rewards are not just in heaven but also enjoyed on earth.
Salam, who is also a teacher noted that he understands the rigors of teaching while also trying to keep up with personal pressures.
This understanding according to him, “makes me sure, that we must do more as a people to put smiles on the faces of our teachers.”
He enjoined people at all level to do more in giving teachers a better life and more reasons to continue committing to the cause of education
Also commending the role of teachers in the society, an educationists, Ganiyu Adewale said teachers should earn more and be celebrated everyday.
Adewale who said teachers are the pillars of the society noted that without education, the society is dead.
He urged government at all levels to review teachers’ salaries and provide befitting welfare packages in order to boost their morale.
He equally urged students to always have regards for their teachers and as well see them as their helpers.
