In a bid to meet the economic challenges in the country, youths have been urged to embrace the principle of wealth creation rather than engage in sharp practices.

A Public Health consultant and businessman, Dr. Meyeyin Kelvin gave this advice in a chat with The Hope in Akure, Ondo state.

He said people should develop interest in business particularly in production which according to him can boost the income of an individual.

His words: “You must be a producer to be rich, if not, it is either you stay where you are or you do not have it the way you want it to be. What you want is what determines how you go about it,” he added.

He decried the present situation in the country where embezzlement of public funds has become the order of the day.

He observed that workers’ salaries were not enough for the upkeep of their families which according to him has made some workers engaged in unwholesome activities.

He said that the challenges confronting businessmen which hinder the growth of the business sector should be addressed.

He called on government to create enabling environment for business to grow, pointing particularly to electricity supply which is the major challenge of all business enterprises.
