Youths attack palace of late Ondo monarch

The Olojoda of Oda in Akure North Local Government area of Ondo State, Oba Julius Ajayi Adewumi Omomo, Okunbadejo II, has joined his ancestors.
The monarch passed on at the age of 83 years.
The Hope Metro gathered that Oba Omomo who was installed on May 30, 2023, following the passing of his predecessor, died after a brief illness.
A family member, Chief Prince Ade Adelakun, who confirmed the death of the monarch to newsmen, described him as a humble, decent and down-to-earth monarch.
Adelakun said the late monarch cared for his subjects as well as worked for the unity and progress of the state, describing his few years of reign as remarkably eventful.
However, some aggrieved youths who were not in support of the deceased monarch, had on Saturday, attacked his palace and carted away some valuables .
The development led to the deployment of tactical officers to the palace by the Ondo State Commissioner of Police Abayomi Oladipo, to curtail the dastardly act.
