Yul Edochie to couples: ‘quit toxic, violent marriages’

Actor and pastor, Yul Edochie, has urged persons in toxic marriages to walk away, strongly condemning domestic violence in any form.

Edochie was reacting to the circulation of a distressing video showing a woman who was severely burnt by her husband.

While expressing his heartbreak over the incident, the actor maintained that no situation justifies harming a partner.

“If your marriage isn’t working, let go. Let go, walk away. I saw the video of the lady that was burnt by her husband, and it broke my heart,” he stated.

He told those experiencing marital challenges, “Even if you catch your wife with another man, there’s no justification for harming her.

“If you catch your husband with another woman, there can be no justification for harming him. Don’t kill another human being because of marriage. Marriage isn’t do or die. Walk away.”
