As the world marks the Christmas and New Year celebrations, Christians have been urged to embrace the spirit of love and peace exemplified in the life of Jesus Christ.
The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Chief Olamide Oladiji, made the call in an official statement released to journalists in Akure today.
Encouraging Christian faithful to uphold the doctrines of faith, hope, and love, the Speaker stressed the importance of adopting the season’s core values of peace and tolerance.
Oladiji also called on Christians to pray for Nigeria’s continued unity, peace, and progress, expressing optimism that the country would soon reclaim its lost glory among the comity of nations.
The Speaker used the opportunity to commend the Governor of Ondo State, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for the various landmark achievements recorded by his administration since assuming office.
He concluded by wishing all residents of Ondo State a peaceful and prosperous Christmas and New Year celebration.
