As the yuletide draws near, the Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor on Security Matters and Commander of Amotekun Corps, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye has sent a strong warning to criminals to vacate the state, saying there won’t be any hiding place for them.
Adeleye, who is also particularly enjoined the public to report any strange and suspicious movements in their areas for onward action.
His words: “If you see something, you say something”. Our distress line remains 08079999989 and we can assure you that we’ve compressed our response to distress.
He spoke during the inter agencies Ember Patrol Training and Parade where he sought the continued support of other security agencies which included; officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force, NPF, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, officers from the Correctional centers, Amotekun Corps and other security agencies who graced the exercise.
“We are joining hands in the spirit of synergy to ensure that lives and property in Ondo State are safe. That is the essence of the parade and training session today,” he stressed.
The Security expert urged all security agencies to continue to remain united, brainstorm and team up to move the state forward, saying it’s only in unity that the war against security challenges could be defeated.
He said “the Ember months patrol has been very successful and fruitful. Many criminals have been shown the way to Correctional centers, majority of them have ran away, but now that December holiday is coming, they are re-strategizing and I can assure them that we will smoke them out.
“To the criminals, Ondo State is not a place to stay. Kidnappers, armed robbers, thieves and other elements that are threat to the peace and security of the state should find their way out because there will be no hiding place”.
“One of the ways through which you can help us achieve a crime-free society, is by reporting strange or suspicious movements in your area to us through our distress line and we can assure you of swift responses,” he added.
