Ondo Central Senatorial candidate of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in the coming general elections, Engr. Gboye Adegbenro, has said that he has a bright opportunity to defeat other candidates in the election.

Adegbenro, who was the immediate past Commissioner for Works in the state said this in an interview with The Hope.

He said his tremendous performance while in the office coupled with the record of the former Governor Mimiko will enhance his opportunity to emerge winner in the race.

According to him, reconstruction of critical township roads in the State into dual carriage ways, upgrading of Oba-Adesida-Oyemekun-Ilesa Road in Akure into international standard and its completion with state of the arts road furniture are great advantages that would speak for him to serve the people more.

He added that the asphalt overlay of all inherited surface dressed roads across the State were parts of his achievements.

“The opportunity to become a member of the Senate, in 2019 is very bright. This will enhance my impact on the people of the senatorial district,” he emphasized

The erstwhile Commissioner noted that his choice of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) to contest for senate is strategic, adding that the primary of the party through which he picked the senatorial ticket was free from vote-buying.

He, however, urged the electorate to vote for candidates with integrity, and good antecedents to improve on their standard of living.
