Arrangement in top gear for Ondo bye-election

Arrangements are now in top gear for the bye-election to fill the vacant position of Akoko Northwest/Northeast seat in the lower chamber of the National Assembly following the appointment of the former occupant, Bunmi Tunji Ojo as the Minister of Interior.
The Bye-election has been fixed for February 3, 2024.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in Ondo State has successfully organized and completed a 3-day training programme ad-hoc staffs’ which is made largely serving Youth Corps members that will be taking charge of the election on Saturday.
A participant at the training centre, Victory College, Ikare-Akoko, Miss Kemi Lanade, commended INEC and the resource persons for a fully functional training.
In the meantime, The Hope witnessed different political parties going about their rallies from ward to ward while house to house canvassing are also going on to secure votes.
However rallies and campaigns in both the two local governments and 13 political wards Federal Constituency, have been very peaceful devoid of any rancor as at the time of writing this report.
