Insecurity: Akoko farmers commend Gov

Farmers in Akoko area of Ondo State have commended the State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, for his actions and policies in confronting security challenges in the state.
They particularly praised his efforts in checkmating the actions of Fulani herdsmen who often invade farms with their cows, destroying crops in the process.
According to them, his decision to ban open grazing in the state will go a long way in making foods available in the state.
The duo of Mr Bayo Boluwade from Irun Akoko and Chief Awesu Seriki, a farmer from Akungba Akoko in separate chats wirh The Hope disclosed that Akeredolu and his other southern counterparts took a far reaching decisions on what concerns their citizens and therefore representing the views of those who elected them, majority victims of herders/ farmers clashes .
The farmers disclosed that farming brought them source of living while herders earn living through cattle rearing, adding that one should not affect another.
They attributed the sudden rise in food crops prices and scarcity to farmer/herders clashes.
They therefore appealed to the Federal government to consider the peculiarity of the southern vegetation and the governors views on humanitarian and economic angles rather than political consideration.
