ODHA ratifies commissioners’ appointment, inaugurates committees

The Ondo State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of two  Commissioner- nominees sent to it by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu .

The two nominees are ,Akinwumi Samson Sowore  from Ese-Odo Local Government Area and Prince Joseph Adeboboye Ologbese from Akoko Southwest Local Government Area.

They were confirmed at a plenary presided over by the Speaker of the House, Mr Bamidele Oleyelogun.

The Commissioner nominees were  earlier  screened  by the House  Committee on Selection headed by the Speaker of the House.

The Governor of the State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu had  few weeks ago forwarded their names to the Assembly for screening and approval.

Oleyelogun announced the ratification following  the submission and approval of recommendations of the selection committee and adoption of the Lawmakers through a voice vote.

Presenting the report of the House Selection Committee at a plenary , the Vice Chairman of the Committee and Deputy Speaker, Revd. Samuel Aderoboye noted that the two nominees possess the required experience, charisma and exposure to function as State Commissioners.

He added that the nominees are able, physically, mentally and emotionally stable to accomplish the task for which they were appointed.

After having appraised the qualities of the duo, the House unanimously agreed that their appointments should be confirmed.

In his ruling, Speaker of the House,Mr Oleyelogun Bamidele , commended Governor Oluwarotimi  Akeredolu  for making the right choice and enjoined the newly appointed Commissioners to contribute their quotas to the development of the state and the people.
