ODIRS begins tax enforcement Sept – Adegbie

Ondo State Internal Revenue Service (ODIRS) Chariman, Mr Tolu Adegbie has declared readiness to commence enforcement of the tax laws including the Land Use Charge as from September this year.
The Chairman disclosed this in a chat with The Hope in Akure.
Adegbie said the agency has presented receipts of payment and letters of clearance to those who have paid.
Among those who have paid were Adeyemi College of Education which paid till 2015, FUTA Secondary School which also paid till 2018 while FUTA paid from 2003 till 2016.
Others are; Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Olji which paid till 2016 and the Federal Medical Center (FMC), Owo.
Adegbie appreciated the organisations while he appealed to other organisations owing the state government backlog of taxes to comply to avoid legal actions.
He disclosed that the state will commence enforcement in September on tax payment across board.
These he noted include the Land Use Charge, PAYE, Business premises fees, renewal of plate number registration and others .
