The Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Entrepreneurship Development, Mr. Summy Smart Francis, has said the entrepreneurship programmes by the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has nothing to do with politics. It was meant to relief the good people of Ondo state from the economic downfall as a result of the COVID -19 pandemic.
He made this known during his entrepreneurship tour to Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State, tagged: “Entrepreneurship for all” held at the Civics Centre in Ode- Irele.
His words: “It is never a political gimmick. The COVID-19 pandemic did not come for election, PDP, APC or October 10, so the solution for the economic meltdown is not tied to political gains. Politics will come and go, what then will happen to the people, which is the concern of Mr. Governor”.
While outlining reasons to be part of the programme, The SA, applauded Akeredolu for being proactive and passionate as a sitting governor of the State.
Ondo State Entrepreneurship Agency, (ONDEA) is one of the initiatives by the state Governor during the pandemic era. It is also one of the first in Nigeria that has been looking at how do people recover from the COVID-19 pandemic economic meltdown, and Mr. Governor, has always been looking at various ways to make the state return to normalcy.
Francis emphasized that countries around the world are using entrepreneurship development as their major platform to uphold their economies and it is what our governor has put in place as a solution by promoting, supporting and developing business and persons who have been badly affected by the pandemic.
While commenting, on the set of qualified beneficiaries, he said, that the programme does not discriminate as it is meant to entertain all. ” There is no limitation. Entrepreneurship is massive and big
