The Archbishop/ Bishop of Methodist Church of Igbobini Diocese, Most Reverend (Dr) Olugbenga Fafeyiwa, has urged christians to give their best to God.
The cleric stated this during the thanksgiving Service of the newly appointed Secretary to Ondo State Government (SSG), Princess, Oladunni Odu, held at Methodist Church, Idepe-Okitipupa.
Reverend Fafeyiwa emphasised that Christians are not expected to give out money alone as thanksgiving, but must love Him and honour Him with their time and talents. Because He has given us His best, He died for us.
“It is however, important to sow because the more one sows, the more he or she will receive”.
The clergy congratulated the SSG and urged her not to look back in her good job. He said history will be kind to Dr Olusegun Agagu of blessed memory, Akinfosile, Abayomi Seba and many others.
The man of God who commended Akeredolu for his stand on security issue, however urged him to look into the suffering of the masses, and work on how electricity could be restored to Ondo Southern Senatorial District.
In her reaction, the first female Ondo SSG, Princess Oladunni Odu, thanked God for her life, good health, happiness, peace of mind and for the recent grace upon her life as the first female Secretary to Ondo State Government.
She said that exceeding grace and knowledge were what she prayed for in her next level as the first female Ondo SSG.
While commenting, the Jegun of Idepe, Oba Michael Adetoye Obatuga, who appreciated Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for choosing their daughter, as the first female SSG in Ondo State said he has no doubt that Odu, will perform excellently well based on her positions in the past.
