Akeredolu charges new Commissioners on continuity

The Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has charged the newly sworn-in commissioners in the state to continue and sustain the good governance in their respective ministries.
The newly inaugurated Commissioners are, Mr. Wale Akinterinwa, Commissioner for Finance; Mr. Donald Ojogo, Commissioner for Information and Orientation; Sir. Charles Titiloye Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice and Engr. Raimi Aminu, Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure.
The Governor who reaffirmed his administration’s unalloyed commitment raise the bar of excellence and successes recorded in the first term, equally told the new Commissioners to start from where they stopped during the first term to further strengthen good governance in the state.
At the swearing-In ceremony of the Commissioners held at the International Culture and Events Centre (The Dome), Akure, the Ondo state capital, Akeredolu explained that though his administration recorded monumental achievements in during its first term, he is more committed to sustaining the bar and even raise it to an optimal level.
The inauguration followed the successful screening and confirmation of the names of the four Commissioners earlier sent to the State House of Assembly by Governor.
Also at the event, the Governor presented the Commissioners their letters of appointment.
Akeredolu revealed that the choice and quick resolve to bring the new Commissioners back, so soon after the dissolution of the State Executive Council, underscored the importance attached to the quality of the services rendered to the State in the first term
“Our administration will discourage recklessness, disloyalty and all acts which interrogate any claims to decency and propriety”.
Governor Akeredolu, however, enjoined friends and families of the appointees, as a matter of necessity to refrain from pressures capable of causing distraction.
Responding on behalf of the four Commissioners, Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Wale Akinterinwa, who appreciated Governor Akeredolu for the confidence reposed in them, described their reappointment as a privilege they would not take for granted.
He promised not to disappoint the Governor and the people of the state but continue to be more loyal, diligent, committed and efficient in the discharge of their duties.
