Owena Press erupts with jubilation over Adetula’s resumption

Drums were rolled out on Monday by the joyous staff of Owena Press Ltd to welcome their Chairman, Sir Ademola Adetula on his assumption of office.
Adetula was reappointed on Thursday following the dissolution of Boards of Parastals by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
As soon as the Chairman alighted from his car, the staff who trooped out in their large members from their offices burst into joyous and melodious songs to welcome him.
The staff led by the Acting Managing Director, Mr Akin Adubuola praised God for acceding to their prayers for his reappointment in other to continue the good works he had done.
Adetula who was visibly elated by the show of affection said their gesture would continue to spur him to do better.
The Chairman expressed profound gratitude to the Governor for reappointing him, promising that he would not let him down.
He promised to make The Hope Newspaper a strong brand to bridge the information, knowledge gap in the state and to strengthen the citizen’s capacity.
Adetula who later met the management and staff at separate meetings promised to address workers’ welfare subject to availability of funds.
During the comment and question session of the meeting, the Chairman, Nigerian Union of Journalists, Owena Press Chapel, Adekola Afolabi said the return of the Chairman showed he was committed and efficient, praying it would be for the benefits of the staff and the organisation at large.
While acknowledging his transformation of the company, he appealed to the chairman to refocus more on the welfare of the staff, annual salary increment, training and need to consolidate on his success in the first tenure.
Also, the Chairman National Union of Printing, Publishing, Paper and Product Workers, NUPPPPROW, Owena Press Chapter, Mr Omolade Adeniran appealed to the chairman to overlook any form of misconduct from any staff and continue to work towards the upliftment of the organisation.
