Special Adviser to  Ondo State Governor on Environment, Mr. Oyeniyi Oseni has assured residents of the state of the commitment of government in ensuring protection and sustenance of its massive afforestation projects.

He made this known during a familiarization tour of the afforestation projects.

Oseni commended Governor Akeredolu  for the progress made in sustaining the state’s forest, assured that under his supervision, more would be done to ensure that the various afforestation projects were given adequate attention to thrive.

Visiting the Ore Industrial Park, where the Wewood plant is located,  Oseni  instructed that the plant act on the ultimatum given to all concession companies to demarcate their boundaries before February 7, 2022.

While addressing  staff of afforestation department at Gmelina Camp, he stated that they should  be ready for massive reafforestation of the project site belonging to government in order to increase Ondo State carbon captors in line with the goal of United Nations Framework on decolonization.

He also reiterated his commitment to protect government portion of afforestation project site while  also urging stakeholders to be ready to take responsibilities for their action.
