Robbers attack journalist home, cart away valuables

Barely two weeks after detectives of the Ondo State Police command arrested bureau de change operator and two others for burglary at Atibiti layout, Ijapo Extension, Akure, unknown hoodlums have burgled the apartment of an Akure-based journalist and carted away valuable properties.
The hoodlums reportedly broke into the apartment of Mr Tosin Ajuwon, located at Irese community, in Ifedore local government area of the state through the window and made away with two television sets including vital documents.
It was gathered that the burglars gained entrance into the house when Ajuwon and members of his family were not at home.
The incident, it was learnt would be the second time that unknown persons would break into the apartment stealing their valuables.
Speaking on Tuesday, Ajuwon who described the burglary incident as very shocking frightened and direct attacks aid the case had been reported at the police Division in Ijare.
He explained that the hoodlum came into the apartment through the backyard after breaking the burglary window.
“He said, “the hoodlums ransacked the whole room, scattered and stole some of my documents in a most frightened way. Infact, it is a direct attack they stole two television sets.
Contracted, the Police spokesperson in the state, DSP Oluwafunmilayo Odunlami confirmed the incident.
She said the burglars broke into the apartment when the journalist and his family had already left the house.
Odunlami said the police have commence investigation into the burglary case, assuring that the perpetrators would soon be apprehended.
