Teenager’s murder: Osun Police begin manhunt

Osun State Police Command has begun an intensive manhunt to track down unknown assailants that killed a 38-year-old man, Tunji Ajakaye in Ibokun, Osun State.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, who confirmed the incident said the command had launched a manhunt for the assailants that perpetuated the dastardly act.
The Hope Metro gathered that the assailants on Monday stormed the house of the deceased around 10:30pm and after a short argument, shot him in the chest.
The gunshots was said to have attracted neighbours to the scene and Ajakaye was rushed to the Wesley Guild Hospital in Ilesa, where he later died.
It was learnt that the assailants also went away in the deceased’s Toyota Camry car.
The Police Spokesperson said the incident was reported at ‘A’ Division Ilesa, adding that Police had launched manhunt for the suspects.
“The issue was reported at ‘A’ Division in Ilesa by one of the neighbours who took the deceased to the hospital.
“However, Police have launched intensive manhunt for the suspects and we are assuring the public that the long arm of the law will catch up with them soonest,”she said.
