Ondo state Micro Credit Agency (OSMA) has trained its officers on credit delivery.
The Chairman of the Agency, Chief Mrs Stella Kosemani Kolawole made this known while declaring open a 2-day workshop in Akure.
She said the training was aimed at complementing government’s initiative to ensure that citizens are productively engaged to bring about functional micro-credit financial empowerment for the productive poor in the state as well as the economic upliftment of targeted beneficiaries.
While noting that the training will be a continuous one, Kosemani noted that constant training is a veritable tool for preparing and equipping public officers with ideas and relevant information for performance.
She disclosed that other measures such as inter-agency interactions and adequate motivation of staff are also put in place to ensure quality credit delivery in the state.
She called on participants to make enquiries and to imbibe the grooming to attain the objectives of the agency.
This, she noted is to make the agency a household name under the present administration.
The General Manager of the Agency, Mr Folayemi Joshua who spoke with The Hope said staffers would be better empowered in capacity building to perform their jobs more efficiently.
He said there was need to empower the staffers’ on capacity building because of the deployment of officers from other ministries and departments of the civil service to key into credit delivery services.
