Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has solicited the support of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-delegates in Ondo State for his ambition to pick the party’s presidential ticket for the 2019 general elections.
Atiku made the declaration during his visit to the PDP members at the state party secretariat in the state.
He promised not to disappoint the party if he eventually emerged the presidential candidate of the PDP.
Atiku, noted that the collective support of the party members as the only way to restore the lost glory in the country.
“Working with you will help each others and care for each other so that together we can restore our nation.
“This country is one of the greatest nations but we have missed a lot because there is no good leadership.
“But it is not too late to return the fortune of the nation.”
He appealed to the party members to resolve every issues to ensure the party pick the right candidate that can slog it out with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He further urged them to go to their various local government areas and mobilize support for the party.
Earlier in his arrival, Atiku had meeting with the members of Pan Yoruba Socio- Political Group, Afenifere at the house of the group’s chairman Pa Reuben Fasoranti in Akure, the State Capital.
In his speech, the State Chairman of PDP, Engr. Clement Fboyede, described Atiku as a resourceful man, who had what it takes to impact meaningful on the economic of the country.
