Up and coming musician, Ekoh Vivian, popularity known as Jevo, has offered her opinion on the reasons why so many marriages in the Nigerian entertainment industry hit the rock.

Vivian who hails from Enugu State, but born and brought up in Kaduna State, in an interview with Friday Extravaganza, disclosed that her journey into music started in year 2022.

When asked why entertainers frequently experience marital problems, Vivian pointed the finger at individuals who take their fame too seriously thereby allowing such to affect their marriages, but then, I think it’s a personal problem to them like it happens to every other persons.

She said, “An entertainer getting married to another entertainer is supposed to be a perfect blend because they both understand what they’re doing. They both understand the business, so when I tell you I’m busy, you should understand, but those who are not in the entertainment industry may not understand this.

“You just need to be at the table with someone that understands your trade. Many celebrities marriages fail because most of them are not from the celebrity family.

“I am just like every other normal girl. It’s when you start bringing in talks about you being this and that in a marriage that you start having problems. Make your relationship like that of normal people with normal lives and problems would be defeated.

“That way, it’s going to be successful. We have celebrities that have successful marriages now.”

According to her , if she were to change anything in the industry, it would be to create platform for more upcoming entertainers. We are really going far with the music that are being made now.

According to the talented artiste, “I would start giving opportunities to upcoming entertainers, especially the females. We face lots of hardship in the industry. I think I would change that and give all female entertainers that platform to rise to stardom.

“I would advise them to be original while striving to live an impactful life and shun fake lives. Even fake life is now more expensive. The money you would spend on living fake life could be utilized to live a decent and real life. So faking it till you make it is nonsense and time wasting,” she added.

While stating that she’s working hard so as to be discovered by all, the 20-year-old entertainer described internet as a better platform to reach out to a larger number of audience. Through the internet, great talents are being discovered, she stated.

Asked if she sings in the shower, she replied thus; yes, I sing in the shower, that’s when most people sing best. I sing to whatever song comes to my head at that moment.
