Dedication tool for attaining success – Esan

Ondo State Commissioner for Environment, Mr Funso Esan has stressed the need for Civil servants to put in their best in achieving the ultimate goal, so as to impact positively on their immediate environment and also future generation.

 Esan spoke while responding after being presented with a Certificate of Integrity and Stewardship and inducted as Service Ambassador for a major role played in sustaining environmental policies and enhancement of economic development and social welfare of the state by a Non – Governmental organisation, Centre for Peace and Self Value Re- Orientation  in Akure last week.

The Commissioner who described dedication to duty as a vital tool for attaining success, commended the joint effort of the management and Staff of the ministry noting that the team work of staff has put the ministry in limelight.

He promised to continue to make meaningful contributions for the overall development of the state.

Speaking earlier, the Executive Director of the organisation, Comrade Abubakar Oyibo explained that the organisation  decided to honour Esan considering the fact that Ondo State is on the threshold of tepid social and economic  development through the implementation and transformation agenda  of the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu .

The organisation head who said the selection  of the Commissioner was carried out through a thorough  assessment exercise, stated that the state has become a safe haven for the entire  citizens of the state  in terms of statutory responsibilities in the area of sound and effective cleaner environmental programmes and prompt attention to the ecological challenges in Ondo State.

The Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Engr. Tayo Adeniyi while appreciating the gesture, stated that nature has a way of revealing a seasoned and committed administrator as seen in the Commissioner who keyed into what the  nature has provided for him.

Centre for Peace and Self Value Re-Orientation  is a non-governmental Organisation of professional and highly skilled volunteers working towards a corruption free society, promoting ethical leadership and awakening the spirit of serviceship among the citizens.
