Facilitate policies to improve lives, NASS urged

Members of the Osun State All Progressives Congress (APC) at the National Assembly have been charged to facilitate policies that will improve the lives of people in the state and the country at large.

The Director General of a socio-cultural organisation, Oranmiyan Worldwide, Mr. Olajide Sadiq gave the charge in a congratulatory messages on their recent appointments at committee levels at the National Assembly.

It would be recalled that the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan announced 69 standing committees’ chairmen and their deputies at the plenary on Tuesday.

The appointments are; Senator Ajibola Basiru, Chairman House Committee on Diaspora, NGO and Civil Societies,  Adelere Oriolowo, Chairman, Legislative Compliance and Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Privatization.

Others at the House of Representatives are; Taiwo Oluga, Women in Parliament, Femi Fakeye, Chairman, House Committee on Commerce, Babatunde Ayeni, Deputy Chairman, Police Affairs Bukola Oyewo, Deputy Chairman, Water Resources and Rasheed Olalekan Afolabi as Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Special Duties.

Sadiq, while congratulating them for the well deserved appointments at the National Assembly, noted that with the level of their exposure and dedication to the growth of the country, they would discharge their duties effectively.

According to Sadiq, all the federal lawmakers who emerged under the platform of APC are great shakers in the formulation of laws that would have positive impact on the people of the country.

The DG said their appointments is a call to service, which must be explored with dedication and focus for the growth of the country.

He, therefore, appreciated the President of Senate, Ahmed Lawan and Speaker of House of Representatives, Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila for counting APC Osun lawmakers worthy of the given positions.

He equally congratulated the party for clinching the appointments at various levels and wished them more feats.
