Farmers move to boost production

In a bid to boost food production and sustainability, farmers in Ondo state have expressed their readiness to synergise with government at all levels and other relevant stakeholders.

Chief Abiodun Adejo, a farmer, said:  “want to make sure that we develop a synergy between the farmers and the government for them to be able to access the good things that come from the government.

We also have to develop  the  private sector to see what the farmers are doing so that we can boost food production in Ondo State,” he stated.

He observed that the state has a very good weather and climate that can produce food for the whole Nigeria, saying that farmers will leverage on it .

According to him, this could be effected by having  important tools they can work with and to also make sure that government is able to look into the plight of farmers  and provide for them succour

“We want to make sure that we key into good agricultural practices where modern equipments will be employed and we will produce more food in quantum that not only for subsistence, but also for commercial purposes,” he affirmed .
