Foundation empowers persons with disabilities

Over 1000 People Living with Disabilities have benefited from the gesture of Aserere Empowerment Programme
The beneficiaries drawn from the three Senatorial Districts gathered at Success hall Lisaluwa, Ondo to grace the 6th edition of the annual event of the foundation
The foundation in the past five years has met the needs of many people through cash gifts and donation of material items to support the vulnerable.
Since it commenced, thousands of people with various forms of disabilities have benefited from the programme through scholarships, palliatives, cash and material gifts.
With various testimonies and more , it is evident that Mrs Adenike Olawoye is indeed a caring woman with a heart of Gold.
The annual programme has been in existence since 2015 and this year’s edition had over 1000 beneficiaries of people living with disability either scholarship or empowement programme.
Chairman of Aserere 2020 Empowerment Programme, The Adaja of Ondo Kingdom, High Chief Oladunjoye Ayodeji enjoined people with disability to keep appreciating God and celebrating Mama Aserere for her kindness.
The beneficiaries of this year’s edition started with a full scholarship programme for five children of disabled people, food palliative for over 100 people and N5,000 cash, bucket and umbrella for over 500 disabled people
The founder of the initiative who is also the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Akeredolu On Market Matters, Mrs Adenike Olawoye said the Programme is designed as a means of giving back to the society by supporting efforts of government in bringing hope to the less privileged.
She appealed to the state government and all well to do people in the state to help the physically challenged.
Some of the beneficiaries appreciated Mrs Olawoye for her kind gesture and pray for more strength
The beneficiaries smiled home with cash gifts and other materials.
