Kidnappers demand N50m over abducted children

A middle-age mother and her three children, who were reported to be traveling along Owo/ Ifon road in Ose local government area of Ondo State were last Friday abducted by unknown gunmen.
Reports reaching The Hope Metro indicated that the woman and her children were traveling to attend an annual age group festival at Imoru when they were kidnapped by the hoodlums who emanated from a nearby bush and took them away to an unknown destination.
It was learnt that the hoodlums later freed the mother, but took the children away.
Family sources told our reporter that the kidnappers have reached out to the family demanding ransom of N50million for the release of the three children.
When contacted, the Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro, said there was no report of such incident, saying he had contacted the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the area
It will be recalled that the Bursar of RUGIPO last week escaped being abducted by a gang of hoodlums along Akungba/Ikare road.
Also, the Iyaloja of Isuzu a Akoko and about seven others were kidnapped along Akure/Owo road and were later released after paying N50million ransom.
