Killings: Osun OPC dissociates self

The Oodua People’s Congress, (OPC) Osun State chapter, has dissociated self from the continuous killings in the State.
The OPC leader while condemning indiscriminate killings in Ede and Ilesa and other parts of the State, insisted that the group will always work with other security outfits to nip the dastardly act in the bud.
“There is a need for us as a group to raise our voices against the indiscriminate killings in Ede, Ilesa and other parts of the State.
“Osun state OPC, under the amiable leadership of the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, is law-abiding and we have been doing our best to secure the state from kidnappers, cultists and their allies.
“From my findings, the recent crisis is cult-related killings; however, there was a report linking the mayhem to one Rashidi Oko-Ilu, who has been a major threat to Ede town and its environs. He has been terrorising and causing untold hardship to the people of the ancient town,” he said.
It will be recalled that Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Lawal had last week raised alarm over the spate of killings by hoodlums in the town, calling for government’s urgent intervention.
