Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure forced Adamawa United to a barren draw in the week 33 of the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, decided at Gombe Stadium, Pantami.
The resurgence Akure Landlords took their quest to bid red zone farewell to Gombe by attaching their host for the duration of the game.
Their attack would have yielded the needed result in the 18 and 25 minutes as the host goalkeeper saved from Edozie Ewelike freekick and Sadeeq Yusuf’s strike.
The host responded swiftly by hitting the wood work from a free kick in the 32 minutes.
Ajani Ibrahim would have given the visitors the lead in three minutes to the first half as he was denied by last ditch block near the post.
Both sides failed to change the score board in both half of the encounter as they shared the spoils of the barren draw.
