Sunshine Stars Head Coach, Kayode Julius has lamented his side’s missing goal chances against Bayelsa United in the Matchday 29 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) played at the Ondo State sports complex, Akure
Sunshine Stars had played a 1-1 draw with Bayelsa United in the pulsating encounter in Akure.
Julius in a chat with newsmen said they were not happy with the result of the game, saying his players rued many goal scoring chances.
According to him, “we told the players not to underrate the team,we let them know that the team picked away point, that we should go all out to win the game, we made use of three strikers in the first half and we had lots of chances but we couldn’t utilize them. It’s painful we drew at home.”
Beyelsa never had any clear chance against us,we gave them the cheap goal, we pray by the grace of God that we go and pick away points.
“I appeal to our fans to continue to believing in us, we are going to make them happy, we are going to make them happy by not losing any game again. We are going to motivate the players psychologically and mentally and we are assuring them that we are not going to relegate.”
Diepreye Teibowei, the head coach of Bayelsa United, said it was a good game for his side, saying his plan was to win the game.
He said: “We are here to win, but if couldn’t win at least to get a share of the spoils, which we are happy with.”
