BY Femi Atolagbe

Nigeria’s High Commission to Cameroon, Ambassador Gabriel Abayomi Olonisakin has further assured Nigerians supporting the Super Eagles in Cameroon of a good stay.

Olonisakin while commending the Government of Cameroon for the level of security apparatus provided for the contingent said that the result is the collaborative efforts of the commission and the government of the province

The Retired Army Boss stated this while speaking at the training camp of the Super Eagles on the efforts made by the representative of the federal government of Nigeria with the government in the northern region at the ongoing African Cup of Nations tournament.

He said; “We have made Garoua a second home for Nigerians. To be honest with you before this tournament, we met with the Government of Cameroon for special security arrangements for our team, officials of federal government and of course the entire contingent”.

They acceded to all our requests and the result is what we are seeing. Garoua is a second home for all Nigerians supporting the Super Eagles and I strongly believe that many people will appreciate the good people of Cameroon during and after the championship. My joy is to see the team lifting the trophy here and I believe the NFF, Coaching Crew and the players will make it happen for the entire nation” The former Army Boss submitted

“Super Eagles feels at home here and of course the entire Nigerian Community. We always mobilize people on match day to turn up in their green and white outfits to support the Super Eagles.”

The Eagles will play their final group D game today against Guinea Bissau by 8pm.
