The Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Environment, Mr. Oyeniyi Oseni, has commended the management and staff of Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, LASEPA, for living up to expectation as the leading environmental regulatory agency in Nigeria.

Oyeniyi gave the commendation at the end of a two day working visit of top management of Ondo Environmental Protection Agency, O’SEPA, Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, LASEPA.

Oseni who led the team said the familiarization visit provided a veritable opportunity to learn from experienced hands how to perform their functions.

While applauding the Lagos State Government for putting in place a world class environmental regulatory structure to rid the State of environmental pollution nuisances and safeguard environmental quality that was consistent with the health, social and economic needs of  Lagos, state  opined that the visit was informed  to learn  on how to protect the environment from all  infractions and improve the environmental conditions of Ondo people through effective compliance monitoring.

Oseni   used the visit to commend the vision of Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in establishing O’SEPA, said that his team was going back home better charge  to give  life to the green environment policy of the state government .

Earlier, the General Manager, LASEPA, Dr. (Mrs.) Dolapo Fasawe, who received the delegation said the team will be guided on how to be an effective environmental regulatory organisation  in order to achieve set goals, navigate the challenges on the job, and proffer solutions in tandem with global best practices.

Fasawe  urged  O’SEPA team to harness the knowledge acquired from the visit to restructure their agency for better achievements and for the benefit of their people.

Earlier the O’SEPA team joined the LASEPA’s Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Team on an Advocacy visit to coca-cola Headquarters at Ido against Plastic Pollution.
