Operatives of Osun Amotekun have arrested a 26-year-old man, Oyekola Taofeek, for allegedly kidnapping and luring a 15-year-old girl into his house for rituals.

The suspect lured the minor simply identified as Mariam to his residence at Ita- Olokan Osogbo.

The suspect was nabbed by men of Amotekun at Ibokun Road Osogbo after the suspect used black magic for a girl and followed the girl to her residence to pack her belongings.

On getting to the victim’s residence, the girl raised alarm which alerted neighbourhood security men and he was apprehended.

The victim while narrating her ordeal said she boarded a mini bus known as korope from oja oba going towards Ilesa garage of which the suspect was the driver.

She explained that she was the only passenger at the time and suddenly the suspect brought a ring and wore it on his finger and touched the her which made her lose her memory.

She stated that the suspect thereafter drove her to his residence at Ita Olokan, Osogbo and on getting to his residence, the suspect dropped the ring inside a white plastic and asked the her to undress but refused.

The suspect, the victim revealed forcefully pushed her on a 3-seater couch and attempted to rape her.

She said she pleaded with him to let her go and that she would come back later to which the suspect did not obliged and as such the suspect brought out an axe and to threaten to kill her.

He told me if I did not comply and that, he will cut her into pieces and sell her body parts.

According to her, the suspect also brought out a concoction which he licked and ordered her to go to her house and bring all her belongings to live with him and he brought out different charms for me to take as an oath which I refused .

The suspect later followed me to my house on a bike to assist in bringing my belongings and when I got down from the bike, I raised alarm which made Comsaic Security come to my aid and got the suspect arrested and handed him over to Amotekun.

Confirming the arrest to the newsmen in Osogbo, the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi said the suspect was arrested for Kidnapping and trafficking of a 15-year-old girl in Osogbo by a local security and the suspect was handed over to Amotekun

He said upon investigation, the suspect confessed to committing the act, and it’s not his first time perpetrating the same offense”. Adewinmbi said.

He urged the operatives of the corps to remain extra vigilant to arrest the criminals and intensify intelligence gathering.

The suspect has been transferred to the National Agency For Prohibition On Trafficking In Person (NAPTIP) Headquarters Osogbo for subsequent interrogation and prosecution.
