Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola has reiterated his commitment to empower youths especially in the areas of mining and agriculture.

The governor made the commitment while playing host to the national executives of Nasir-l Fathi Society, NASFAT during a courtesy visit to his office in Osogbo.

Oyetola, while decrying youths’ ignorance on the benefits from mining  and agriculture, noted that he always believed in youths in agriculture, but realised it was a tough one.

The governor who stressed the issue of attitudinal problems with the youths when it comes to agriculture, noted that agriculture required commitment, dedication and patience.

He, however, promised that his government would not relent in the empowerment of youths, as they had done previously by sending them abroad for training on agriculture.

The governor eulogised the leadership of the Islamic body, saying their introduction of innovation and new direction of practice of the religion which made Islam attractive to youths was commendable.

He further expressed his gratitude to NASFAT, noting that it is the efficacy of their prayers that took them thus far.

Speaking earlier, the worldwide President of the religious body, Alhaji Kamil Bolarinwa said their visit was to showcase NASFAT as an Islamic organisation that believed in peace.
