Ondo State Commissioner for Water Resources, Public Sanitation and Hygiene, Mr Sunday Akinwalire, has tasked Staff of the State Water Corporation due for promotion on total dedication, commitment and efficiency towards a smooth running of government activities.

The Commissioner stated this while addressing 44 staff of the State Water Corporation during the on-going 2024 promotion exercise.

He challenged the staff to be innovative and always put in their best especially as they advance through the ranks in their various fields.

The Commissioner reiterated the commitment of the State government, under the leadership of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to continually prioritize the interests and general welfare of the entire workforce. Therefore, ensuring that salaries, wages, and promotions are granted as and when due.

The Commissioner reminded the officers that the higher they advance, the more the challenge, and as such they should be prepared to take up additional commitments.

While wishing them success in their interview, he also reminded them to bear in mind that they are the engine room of government and as such, they should be innovative and generate new ideas.

Earlier in her remarks, the Administrative Secretary, Mrs Victoria Adetoye enjoined participants not to take the promotion for granted but rather justify it by improved efficiency in their new positions

Mrs Adetoye, who lauded the government for the gesture, urged the beneficiaries to reciprocate by putting in their best in their service delivery, added that to whom much is given, much is expected.
