Police arrest herdsman destroying farmland

A cassava farm estimated at over N2million in Okitipupa have been destroyed by an herdsmen.
A 20-year old herdsman, Usman Abubakar who was caught at the farm with his cows was arrested by men of the Ondo state Amotekun who handed him over to the police.
The owner of the farm, a 50-year-old Akinsuyi who lives at No 1 Glory street Ode Erinje community in Okitipupa said herdsmen frequently damage his farm.
However, the current incident was severe which she made him contacted Amotekun corps in the state.
“I have been telling them to take their cows away from my farm land but they turned deaf ears.
On this fateful day, I saw them again as their cows had already eaten the remaining part of the farm.
” I ran to Amotekun base here in Okitipupa and they came with me to my farm. I always see them with torch light at night.”
The security on arrival at the farm saw the herdsman and his cows were feasting on the cassava in the farm and was nabbed immediately.
