Hundreds of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, members have decamped to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Erin-Ijesa, Osun State.
The new decampees in what looked like a political tsunami at Ward 2, Erin-Ijesa officially dumped the PDP to identify themselves with the broom revolution.
While receiving the PDP defectors to the Progressive fold, Caretaker Committee Chairman for Oriade Local Government Area of Osun State, Bunmi Obeisun said that the various developmental projects being executed across the state by our performing Governor, Gboyega Oyetola was responsible for the mass Exodus of PDP members to the governing APC.
The Council Boss stated that more than 500 members of the opposition PDP including the Councillorship Candidate of the PDP in Ward 2 Erin-Ijesa in the person of Chief Isaac Olodo as well as some Igede People in the ancient town officially left for the Progressive Party, APC.
Obeisun advised those who are yet to join the moving train of the governing APC to do so before it is too late.
He however promised the newly decampees from PDP to APC that they will be accorded with due recognition in their new home.
The carnival-like event witnessed the presence of some notable APC stalwarts and stakeholders across the local government area.
