Sea incursion: Again, Aiyetoro community counts losses

No fewer than two hundred residents have been displaced while over hundred houses are washed away by sea incursion in Aiyetoro Community in Ilaje Local Government area of Ondo State.
Speaking with The Hope on the incident, the Public Relations Officer of the community, Prince Victor Akinluwa said the incessant sea surge in the area was now at an alarming rate as more than half of the town have been claimed by water.
He noted that residents who have nowhere to go are now calling for government intervention over the menace.
Prince Akinluwa disclosed that environmental hazard has led to many people’s death especially the aged who were old to renovate or build another houses.
Other residents of the community who spoke condition of anonymity, appealed to Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and President Muhammadu Buhari to ameliorate their sufferings.
