Security: ODSG tours checkpoints, Night Club

As part of efforts to strengthen its operational capacity in curbing crimes in the state, men of the Ondo State Security Network Agency codenamed Amotekun Corps alongside other security agencies have toured various security checkpoints to ascertain that proper Identification exercise was being carried out.
The State Commander of Amotekun Corps, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, who led the team with the Senior Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Security Matters, Alahaji Jimoh Dojumo, visited different checkpoints in the state capital at the weekend.
The exercise was meant to detect those using tinted glasses without permit and vehicles without number plates and ensure that they are taken off the roads for security reasons.
The operational tour of inspection took them to locations where the Amotekun men attached to officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other security agencies were deployed along Akure/Owo road, GTB Roundabout, Fiwasaye Roundabout and other major points in the state.
The team further visited the office of the AIG Zone 17, Mr Ekon Okon, where the Amotekun boss appreciated the officers for their support towards ensuring a crime-free state.
He explained that the purpose of the visit was to assess their operational capacity and make appropriate adjustments that will enhance their operational efficiency.
He charged the operatives to be professionally alive to their responsibilities.
The team which also had a stop-over at Bola Komo Night Club to ensure that adequate rules are being carried out by the owner.
The Amotekun boss stated that the position of the Ondo state government is that they must fully comply with the provision and low level noise pollution and must erect a fence around the place to ensure miscreants don’t flout the order.
He added that the business Centre must not be allowed to constitute public nuisance and must cooperate with the state ministry of Lands to be sure that he is using it for what it was approved for.
The Amotekun Commander, however, hinted that the management of Bola Komo is making frantic efforts towards meeting up with the Ondo state government’s rules.
