Shun social vices OAUSTECH students urged

The Vice-Chancellor, Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, Prof. Sunday Ogunduyile, has warned new students of the institution to shun all forms of social vices in the course of their studies.
Ogunduyile stated this during the orientation programme new students for the 2019/2020 academic session.
The VC admonished the students that dedication, engagement, and concentration to their studies in the institution would help form their lives for the leadership role in the future.
“There are a lots of expectations on your part, parents, colleagues and lecturers because all our common goals are to see you succeed in your studies and failure to do so, leads to disappointments and frustrations.
“However, we will punish those who engage in exam malpractices, stealing, yahoo plus, drug abuse cultism, rape, and other vices,” Ogunduyile said.
He noted that the institution is still non-residential, adding that the management is working tirelessly to make the institution’s accommodation facilities available.
He appreciated Ondo state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for his efforts to fast track the abandoned hostel facilities by Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and Ondo State Oil Producing Development Area Committee (OSOPADEC).
The institution’s Registrar, Mr Ganiu Saliu, advised the students to ensure they put the name of the institution in gold by upholding and abiding by all rules and regulations of the institution.
