Baring any hitch, counsel to the two parties in the case of a missing child, Eninlaloluwa Gold Kolawole at Sotitobire Praising Chapel, Oshinle qtrs, Akure will adopt their written adresses today, September 14, 2020.
It would be recalled that a case of conspiracy and aiding and abetting kidnapping was brought against the church founder, Alfa Babatunde and some of the church ushers in December 2019 following the disappearance of the toddler a month earlier.
From July 23 when the defence closed its case, the court had adjourned the case till today after due consultation with the prosecution led by the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Adekola Olawoye SAN and the defense team led by Olusola Oke.
The court had chosen a long adjournment as the State courts went on recess in August to resume today September 14, 2020.
At the last sitting court sitting, the defense led by Olusola Oke had closed its case after examining its last witness.
Although the defense had earlier informed the court that it would call 20 witnesses, it had decided to stop after calling 13 witnesses.
Thereafter, the court had gone on recess and adjourned the case till today for adoption of written addresses.
