Step down or face impeachment, APC tells Agboola

Leaders of the Ondo State branch of the All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday waived the red flag to the sit tight Deputy Governor, Mr. Alfred Agboola Ajayi to step down gallantly or suffer the ignominy of impeachment.
The latest warning was given on Sunday at Igbekebo, headquarters of Ese-OdoLocal Government area of the state where the party said the time was up for him to give up the seat or be thrown out.
Also, at the enlarged meeting of the party’s big wigs from the area, the party announced the expulsion of the lawmaker representing the council, Mr. Success Torukerijoh from the party for anti-party activities and misrepresentation of the APC at the State Assembly.
Announcing the tough measures, state Deputy Chairman, Mr. Agabra Ikoko Atili flayed the Deputy Governor for throwing pebbles at the party which brought him to office.
The group insisted that unless the Deputy Governor left his seat having resigned from the party which brought him to the office, the APC would have no option than to impeach him.
For the second time, the APC has called on the Deputy Governor to resign his position since he has dumped the APC for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Torukerijoh represents Ese-Odo Local Government area in the state Assembly and is one of the nine members that were against the impeachment of Agboola Ajayi.
Both motions were moved by Richard Omosehin and seconded jointly by Ojogo and Corporal Nanaopiri.
