A member of the medical team handling her confided in our reporter that the woman who was brought to the hospital’s Accident and Emergency unit gasping for breath  can now talk.

“She was brought in unconscious, with open wounds in the face. She was initially taken to the University of Medical Hospital in Akure, before she was later referred to the FMC, Owo.

“Laceration of the scalp was made and scan of her face also showed multiple fractures.

“Further tests showed that her right socket is shattered which means she has lost her right eye vision which is being managed by our Ectorelogist.

“Subsequently, we took her to the theater for surgery after which she  started recovering rapidly.

They, however, added, that she’s having financial constraints. “We have not been able to get fund to further her treatment or even to carry out some tests and to buy drugs for her medications.
