Lackluster Super Eagles yesterday was thrown out of the Qatar 2022 after they played 1-1 draw with the Black Stars of Ghana at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja.

Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Partey had put his side ahead 11 minute into the game, before WiliamTroost– Ekong drew for Nigeria 11 minutes after from penalty spot after VAR confirmed a foul on Ademola Lookman inside the 18yard by Ghanaian’s defender.

Eagles’ goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho will have himself to be blamed for the Green and White donning side after conceding a silly goal early in the game.

Nigeria and Ghana had earlier played goalless draw in the first leg of the 2022 World Cup qualifier in Kumasi last week Friday.

Eagles hope were dashed  after Victor Osimhen goal was cancelled by VAR for offside.

The Black Stars held to their tactics for the duration of the encounter, knowingfully well they were on the road to Qatar with away goal advantage.

The Eagles’ West African rival kept the score line tight and ensured the ticket to the Qatar 2022 World Cup is in the  kitty.
