4 robbers attack filling station in Ondo

Men of the Ondo state police command have arrested a middle aged man, Kamoru Adesumbo for attempting to rob a filling station at Oka, Ondo, Ondo state.
Adesumbo is a native of Ondo in company of three others was nabbed at while attempting to rob a filling station in Oka- community in Ondo town in the early hours of Monday.
The Hope Metro gathered that, the Incident involved four armed robbers who stormed the Petrol station in an Okada and met a police man on guard and engaged in gun did with the police man.
According to report, the policeman on duty shot one of them as the three others absconded.
It was gathered that, seeing that a reinforcement of security men at the filling station, they tried to run away with the injured robber, but Adesimbo.
During interrogation, Adesimbo confessed to the security agencies that he came in a bike to the filling station with three other members of his gang who are now at large.
Confirming this in an interview with The Hope Metro, The public relations officer, Tee-Leo Ikoko said the police on duty intercepted the armed robbers while trying to gain entry into the filling station.
“On that note the police man shot at one of them during a gunshots as the others took to their heels.
“We took him to the truama center for treatment where he made a confession. Investigations are on and our men are in search of the other three,” he said.
